The Bureau is seeking qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions based in Head office and County Level: -

1 . Manager, Internal Audit KLB 9
(1 position) Job Ref. HR-AIM-2-O1 2
He/ she will report to the Managing Director.

Duties and Responsibilities
  •     Control and supervise operations of the Internal Audit of the Kenya Literature Bureau.
  •     Ensure maintenance of high Audit standards within the Kenya Literature Bureau.
  •     Set audit priorities and prepare an annual Audit plan.
  •     Execute compliance Audits.
  •     Advice management on improvement of internal processes and process risk control.
  •     Perform adhoc audits on request by internal or external parties and after approval by the Managing Director.
  •     Supervise and manage internal audit team and ensure optimal use of resources.

Minimum Qualifications
  •     Bachelor’s degree in commerce or relevant area.
  •     Be a holder of CPA (K).
  •     Be a member of ICPAK.
  •     Have worked for a minimum period of eight years in a reputable organization, five of which must be in a senior management position.
  •     Be computer literate.
  •     Possession of MBA degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

2. Assistant Supply Chain Manager KLB 8

(7 positions) Job Ref. HR-ASCM-1-012
He/ she will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  •     Provide effective supply chain services to the Bureau by advising the management through the Supply Chain Manager.
  •     Selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors to promote good procurement practices with due regard to sustainable, ethical, purchasing standards and whole life costing.
  •     Responsible for imprest purchases, procurement and proper storage, accommodation, security and safe custody of stores and stock control.
  •     Ensure that stock taking and disposal of unserviceable and obsolete stores is carried out in an appropriate manner.

Minimum Qualifications
  •     Degree in social sciences plus a Diploma in supplies management from a recognized institution.
  •     Five (5) years experience at senior management level in a reputable organization
  •     Must have sound knowledge on Public Procurement Oversight Authority Act
  •     Must be computer literate.
  •     Possession of MBA degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

3. Sales Executives
(Commission Basis) - KLB 5 (47 positions)
Job Ref. HR- ESRC-3-012
He/she will report to the Field Sales and Operations Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  •     Drive sales ofvarious titles to ensure overall target is achieved in the county
  •     Submitting regular sales and intelligence reports
  •     Provide quality and timely feedback to the market development team.
  •     Manage customer accounts.

Minimum Qualifications
  •     Degree in social sciences or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  •     Post graduate Diploma in sales and marketing from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
  •     At least two (2) years experience in sales and marketing or as sale representative in reputable firm.
  •     Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  •      Must be computer literate (Ms Office).
  •     . Must be a resident in the identified county.

4. Printing Sales Representative KLB 5
(5 positions) Job Ref. HR-PSR-4-O1 2
He/she will report to the Production Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  •     To prospect new clients and grow the business
  •     Visit business establishment to solicitjobs for printing
  •     To develop customer database and update the same through new leads or business establishment.
  •     Drive sales process from quotation to closing
  •     Prepare weekly printing sales reports and action plans.
  •     Manage customer accounts.

Minimum Qualifications
  •     Bachelor’s degree in printing technology or relevant area. Or
  •     Higher Diploma in printing technology plus a diploma in sales and marketing from a recognised institution.
  •     At least three(3) years experience in printing from reputable firm
  •     Possess excellent customer handling skills.
  •     Knowledge on estimation for printers.
  •     Be computer literate.

Internal Auditor Jobs at Multimedia University College

Job Title: CHIEF INTERNAL AUDITOR -Grade 15

Applicants must;

Posses Masters Degree in Accounting plus Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting option) from a recognized university, and CPA (K). Must have at least 10 years working experience, five of which should have been in an internal audit function at a senior level or Grade 14.

OR

Be in possession of an MBA (Finance option) plus Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting option) from a recognized university, and CPA (K), and at least 10 years working experience, five of which should have been in an internal audit function at a senior level or Grade 14.

Applicants must also be members of a recognized professional accounting body i.e. ICPAK, and have strong management and organizational skills, as well as proven capabilities in IT and use of financial management softwares.

Performance, achievements and discipline in previous work stations will also be considered.

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certificate will be an added advantage

Purpose of Position    

The primary purpose of the position is to perform audits as assigned by the Audit Manager. The auditor assists the Audit Manager in review and audit of projects and programs to ensure the promotion of good stewardship of resources consistent with the purposes for which the funds were given.

The incumbent performs audits that are in compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (SPPIA), the US Government Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAGAS) for US Government Funding and World Vision’s Financial Manual Internal Audit policies and procedures.




Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

  •     Should have a university degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business or related field. A graduate degree in Accounting or Management is an added advantage.
  •     Should have related professional qualifications with minimum of CPA or ACCA.
  •     Should have a minimum of two years’ working experience in audit or accounting. Accounting experience within WVK is an added advantage.
  •     Should have good communication and quantitative skills. Strong analytical skills are also a prerequisite.
  •     Must be able to travel extensively within the country and internationally up to 50% of the time.
  •     Must have good working knowledge of computerised accounting systems, preferably Sun Systems & Vision. Must be computer literate in using Microsoft Office programs.
  •     Must be able to work independently in remote areas.

Internal Audit and Risk Manager (IARMIO9II2)
Reporting to the Board Audit Committee and the Managing Director, the Internal Audit and Risk Manager will provide independent, objective assurance and advice designed to add value and improve the Corporation’s operations.

Key responsibilities will include:
  •     Developing and implementing an Annual Risk-Based Audit Plan aligned to the Corporation’s objectives;
  •     Preparing quarterly audit reports and presenting the same to the Board Audit Committee;

  •     Reviewing all mail, including electronic mail addressed to the Managing Director and distributing to relevant persons as appropriate;
  •     Handling the Managing Director’s diary and receiving all telephone calls to the Managing Director’s office;

Management Accountant (MA109112)
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will provide financial information and reports to management for decision making as well as ensure the Corporation’s inventory is safeguarded.

Key responsibilities will include:
  •     Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and other management reports;
  •     Preparing annual financial statements and liaising with external auditors;
  •     Coordinating the preparation of annual budgets and compiling the final budget report;
  •     Monitoring performance against budget and reporting to management on a regular basis;
  •     Ensuring proper records are maintained for inventory and general ledger transactions;
  •     Assisting in the financial aspect of strategic planning including monitoring performance against strategic plans;
  •     Assisting in economic modeling for upstream petroleum operations; and
  •     Championing capital budgeting and project appraisal for all new projects and investments.

Skills & Attributes:
  •     Bachelors degree in a business related field;
  •     Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance will be an added advantage;
