applications for the following vacant
positions to fill in its establishment.

1. TECHNICAL MANAGER 1 Post
Responsible for : Water Production ,
Water quality , Distribution,
Maintenance of infrastructure and
other Technical Services

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
The Technical Manager will ensure
that the entire infrastructure is well
maintained and operated for quality
water and sanitation services

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directing, co- ordinating, controlling
and managing the Company’s
technical operations and ensuring
good maintenance of infrastructure .
Ensure water is treated to ensure that
the quality meets the acceptable
standards.
Ensure the unaccounted for water is
reduced to acceptable levels .
Develop departmental strategies,
targets, policies and work plans .
Be responsible for training,
development and motivation of staff.
Ensure that the needs of customers
are effectively met.
Development of infrastructure by way
of extensions and expansion.
Any other duty assigned by the
General Manager .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
Ordinary Diploma in Water
Engineering or its equivalent from a
recognized Institution.
Registration with Kenya Engineer ’s
Registration Board will be an added
advantage.
Minimum 6 years ’ experience in a
medium or large commercial
environment, preferably in a water
sector.
Ability to work with multi -disciplinary
teams and liaising with various
stakeholders.
Good knowledge on computer.
Ability to prepare strategic and
operation plans including developing
reports , proposals and quality
performance targets .
Demonstrated ability to consistently
meet strict deadlines is mandatory .

2. LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST 1 POST
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIED
Monitoring and evaluation of water
quality by sampling and testing from
water schemes .
To ensure water quality in all Schemes
within the Company area of supply
conforms to the basic standards.
Providing periodical reports on the
performance of individual and all
Water Schemes being operated by the
Company.
Carrying out chemical analysis, media
preparation, maintenance and
keeping laboratory records and data.
Storage, collection and preparation of
samples and specimens.
Diagnostics work , maintenance of
culture for bacteria, fungi and insects .
Any other duties assigned by the
Technical Manager or other Heads of
Departments .

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Ordinary Diploma in Laboratory
Technology or Applied Science or its
equivalent from a recognized
institution.
Computer literacy and familiarity with
standards office applications.
Ability to produce results and meet
targets.
At least (4 ) four years relevant
experience in Laboratory Technology
work.
