PROCUREMENT JOBS

Procurement Job . Gross Salary 40k .
Our client , a medium -sized
organisation in the cleaning services
industry is looking to fill the position
of a Procurement Officer . Reporting to
the Managing Director , the
Procurement Officer will be
responsible for sourcing , purchasing,
storing and dispatching materials and
machinery to respective managers and
cleaning sites .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The main
responsibilities in this role include :
* Management of company materials
according to the rules and regulations
of purchasing and supplies standards
which includes :
o Evaluation of availability and costing
of cleaning materials from suppliers in
the market
o Analysing usage and determining re-
order levels for each item
o Undertaking daily stock
reconciliation, placing orders,
confirming receipt of stocks and
updating stock records
o Issuing materials to various cleaning
sites as per contract terms
o Working directly with the finance
office in regard to procurement
purchases and supplies
* Supervising and coaching the
procurement assistants.
* Preparing monthly reports for the
procurement department and
suggesting improvements in
purchasing and supplies management
in the company
* Any other duty as may be assigned
by management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : The
incumbent must possess the following
minimum qualifications and
competencies:
* A diploma holder in purchasing and
supplies management and a member
of the Chartered Institute of
Purchasing and Supplies . A certificate
in accounting - KATC will be an added
advantage.
* 3 years’ work experience in a busy
and professional procurement
environment, preferably 1 year in a
busy cleaning firm.
* Proficiency in computer applications
and knowledge of a Procurement
Management System .
* Strong degree of self -motivation and
drive, high ethical standards , honesty ,
values, principles and integrity .
* Good reporting and communication
skills.
* Ability to work with minimum
supervision.
* A team player with the ability work
and communicate in a culturally
diverse environment
Remuneration: The salary for this
position is KSh 40 ,000 gross per
month.
