PUBLIC RELATIONS JOB. KSHS 120,000 GROSS PER MONTH

Our Kenyan client , a manufacturing
concern based in North Rift Kenya, is
looking to recruit PUBLIC RELATIONS
OFFICER to enhance the relationship
between the organisation and the
surrounding local communities .
The overall goal of this position is to
provide strategic planning , execution,
monitoring and follow up of Public
Relations and corporate social
responsibility programmes designed
to address basic needs of the
communities. The overall objective of
the project is to promote socio -
economic development in the area.

REPORTING to the Managing
Director , the incumbent will:
Be responsible for working with
various parties to plan , implement and
monitor Public Relations / CSR
programs as per the organisation ’s
requirements.
Prepare PR budgets in co-ordination
with concerned parties .
Liaising with media and advertisers
Develop monitoring and evaluation
tools of on- going and up-coming
projects.
Conduct case study / impact study of
the community development/CSR
initiatives ; properly document the
same and disseminate to concerned
parties.
Lead the process of developing new
projects and come up with terms of
reference.
Work with partner organizations in
areas of advocacy , fund raising,
reporting and documentation,
program development and co -
ordination and liaison.
Ensure participation and coordination
of all concerned stakeholders
including municipal council and
government institutions as
appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned .

KEY REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
A university graduate in Social
Sciences or other relevant field.
Good knowledge of humanitarian /
CSR environment ( NGO, UN, Donors,
Foundations) with at least four years
work experience in program
management with substantial Public
Relations / interaction skills.
Strong organizational , interpersonal
and communication skills; a high level
of curiosity and intuition ; a strong
sense of fairness , objectivity and good
judgment.
A confident public speaker, seasoned
in report writing and presentation ;
Fluent written and spoken English ,
Kalenjin and Kiswahili;
A sense of team spirit , adaptability and dynamism.

REMUNERATION : The starting salary
for this position is KShs 120 ,000
gross per month plus benefits .

Our client is based in North Rift Kenya
and the nature of the job will require
the Public Relations Officer to live and
work in the area.
